Temple is a spiritual haven where connecting ancestral heritage with personal identity and inner peace.
After years of drifting, performing in many different countries, two veteran creative dancers from Hong Kong and Central Java have reached their common horizon beyond their wandering or sojourning. Their three solo and duet dance pieces, "My Temple," "Fill" and " Flower Mirror" resonate with the healing sound of Sanskrit chants, traditional Chinese Opera and narration, and the ritualistic and powerful vocals of the Tujia tribe from the Yunnan plateau. Within limited space, they ultimately break through all distortions, darkness, routines and rules with their primal, animalistic movement, reaching the united power of Butoh and Javaese court/mask dance.
