The Thirsty Ones is an artistic journey that blends poetry, music, and theatre, inspired by French writer René Daumal’s novel A Night of Serious Drinking. Led by Italy’s “Open Program” and Mario Biagini, a close collaborator of theatre master Jerzy Grotowski, this work uses absurdity and humour to explore humanity’s longing and loss of ideals, meaning, and dreams, and the relentless efforts we make to quench our inner thirst. After touring across multiple countries, the production will finally arrive in Hong Kong."
